About Us

We accomplish more by working together!

History

The Sturgeon Chain Lake Association was established in 1999 by Roger Meittunen and a group of dedicated volunteers. Over the years, many volunteers have helped protect and enhance our lakes, rivers and community. Today, our dedicated board, members, and volunteers continue the legacy started by Roger and those original pioneers… dedicated to preserve and enhance the beautiful natural resources left to our generation and those that follow. The SCLA is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization.

OUR GOALS

• Protect & improve water quality, water levels, navigation, native fish and other native aquatic wildlife & vegetation.
• Promote & enhance the outdoor experience for everyone enjoying our seven lakes, rivers and surrounding community.
• Provide accurate information & education on issues impacting our lakes, rivers and community.
• Build a strong volunteer network to address these issues.
• Provide a strong & unified voice on issues affecting our natural resources.
